Other information buried in the Database can not be extracted that easily and may require some thought. Lets play through some examples. Enter

select * from filespaces

This Command will display information about all file spaces (aka. file systems) known by the TSM Server. You will receive information looking like this:

     NODE_NAME: BENJAMIN
FILESPACE_NAME: \\benjamin\c$
FILESPACE_TYPE: FAT32
      CAPACITY: 15336.8
      PCT_UTIL: 84.6
  BACKUP_START: 2002-12-30 08:30:58.000000
    BACKUP_END:

     NODE_NAME: SAPD01
FILESPACE_NAME: /opt/oracle/data
FILESPACE_TYPE: jfs
      CAPACITY: 100328554.9
      PCT_UTIL: 93.1
  BACKUP_START: 2002-12-23 08:00:00.000000
    BACKUP_END:

     NODE_NAME: SAPD01
FILESPACE_NAME: /usr
FILESPACE_TYPE: jfs
      CAPACITY: 3823452.4
      PCT_UTIL: 43.5
  BACKUP_START: 2002-12-24 02:00:01.000000
    BACKUP_END:

If you don't want to have information about all Systems, you can limit the query to a certain scope by introducing the "where" clause. "Where" can use any SQL Structure delivering true or false on a certain condition. Assuming we're only interested in the node "Benjamin", we could enter:

select * from filespaces where node_name='BENJAMIN'

This will limit the query to entries having the node name 'BENJAMIN'. Although we know, that TSM will not allow two nodes with the names "BENJAMIN" and "Benjamin", SQL doesn't, so most things concerning actual values in TSM Tables is case sensitive. Our output would look like this:

     NODE_NAME: BENJAMIN
FILESPACE_NAME: \\benjamin\c$
FILESPACE_TYPE: FAT32
      CAPACITY: 15336.8
      PCT_UTIL: 84.6
  BACKUP_START: 2002-12-30 08:30:58.000000
    BACKUP_END:
